Kathy McCabe of Radical Learning, winner of 2007/8 of Women in ICT

Part of Kathy’s prize is a trip to CeBIT, the world’s largest ICT trade fair hosted in Germany, from the 4th -9th March 2008. This is what she had to say on being crowned the 2007/8 overall CITI Women in ICT winner:

The Cape IT Initiative (CITI) invites all businesses that are ICT enabled, and produce or service the ICT by no less than 80% of their core business, to apply for 2008 Women in ICT.

The Women in ICT programme was initiated in 2006 with the aim of building capacity and highlighting women involved in the ICT sector in the Western Cape. All the women in the programme come from ICT businesses in the Western Cape that have been in operation for at least three months and where at least 51% of the business is owned by women.
