Sales Sales

Document Actions
Presented by David Murray, July 28

This seems to be a key problem area with many early stage technology entrepreneurs, who find it difficult to get out there and sell!

We covered problems with sales, forecasts, managing sales teams, different types of sales and the sales cycle. We spent quite a bit of time discussing some real life sales challenges that a number of us are currently facing. A few brave souls volunteered for the simulation exercise, where they had 5 minutes to close a sale – not an easy task, but a great learning opportunity!.

The assignment is to build a sales forecast for each business for the next 6 months.

Sales

This was a real "wake up and smell the coffee session." The acting out of scenes by the volunteers really had me reflecting. Realistic experiences adding so much value. Thanks David and our brave VELOCITI actors.

The back burner

Although Breadbin has been kept really busy with inquiries, we have not pro-actively sold. The session really helped me realize that Sales sits above all else on the business's priority list and needs to be pulled of the back-burner and aggressively focussed on to grow the business and secure sustainability. Thanks David
