Session 5 - Pricing Session 5 - Pricing

Session 5 of Velociti dealt with the very relevant issue of pricing. For most start-up companies pricing is one of the most intimidating areas, with almost every entrepreneur facing the dilemma at some stage in his or her business. For the first part of the session we dealt with the theory, being pricing as part of strategy, factors affecting pricing, basic pricing strategies, eg penetration, skimming, etc, demand curves and more. The second part of the session was in my opinion far more valuable, being a group debate around each company’s particular pricing strategy/issues, and a vigorous discussion around the table. Needless to say, more questions than answers, with Amanda suggesting a follow-on session asap!

Pricing ???

I thought that I crossed this bridge in my business; but realise that theres many more options I can choose. The second part of the session really hyped my enthusiasm of the programme. I think most of us learned so much from the actual experiences of our fellow participants; with the interaction and sharing of advice and possible solutions to burning issues. Thanks Tony

I can absolutely relate with you Reyhana. In our pricing session I also discovered the different routes you can take to do your pricing. And the interaction with the group was also very helpful. Thank you Tony

I think that the session on pricing has perhaps been the most valuable to all participants as we were actually able to discuss the different pricing models that each of use and then ask each other questions and comment on what we thought of what each of us were doing. This made the theory very practical and I feel that this technique can be very useful in developing our business.

From the first day of VeloCITI, Pricing has been the biggest area of learning my company. I found the session validated previous learnings (from my mentoring sessions with David) and with a follow on mentoring session created a further stretch for me to get my head around. The result is a far more comfortable outlook for validating my products value to client and it's associated price. Shot Tony.. legend session.

Half Time

Due to another commitment I was only able to attend the 1st half of this session, but whether I am in the whole session or just half I always have a lot to think about after the session. The the output I got from Tony re: pricing strategies, gives me good insight into future marketing campaigns and how we will be able to maximise the outcome utilising different pricing options/strategies.

Thanks Tony, the session was very important for me. I had to review my pricing strategy after the session. It would be great this session could be one of the first velociti sessions as many people struggle with pricing from the beginning.
