The Cape Information Technology Initiative (CITI) and the Western Cape provincial government have recognised the importance of the region’s ICT sector as an enabler for the province’s economic development. The 2007 Cape ICT Census was commissioned by CITI to assist the organization in its role of promoting the Western Cape ICT industry.
