CITI Membership
CITI's core objective is to grow, promote and transform the Western Cape ICT sector. Membership benefits include invitation to theme-based events, seminars and workshops; promotion opportunities via the CITI website and newsletter; and participation in (and access to report-backs on) ICT industry round table events aimed at facilitating greater cooperation and collaboration between the ICT sector, government, academia and other stakeholders.

Who is eligible?
Membership of CITI is open to all individuals and organizations in the ICT cluster in the Western Cape. This includes all providers of IT, software and telecommunications related products and services, as well as IT-enabled design companies (including animators, gaming developers and graphic designers), academia and students, government, non-profit organizations, and ICT industry suppliers (including recruitment companies, consultants, etc)
What does it cost?

| Staff members of CITI sponsors and funders | Free |
| Staff members of non-profit organizations | Free |
Membership is for one calendar year (January to December 2010). Members who join after 30 June 2010, pay half the membership fee.
Benefits of membership of CITI
CITI membership offers the following benefits:
- Free attendance at EduCITI events (These are events in which we get industry experts to provide “How to” advice on topics such as: “How to write a business plan,” “How to get your business ready for export” and “How to patent your innovation”)
- Discounted rates to attend other CITI initiated events, workshops, seminars and conferences
- Invitations to attend matchmaking and networking events with foreign trade delegations
- Referrals of relevant new business opportunities from local or international companies
- Assistance with information related to sourcing funding, participating in innovation and government programmes and exporting to international markets
- CITI newsletters and industry information updates
- A listing on the CITI website
- In addition, whilst CITI membership does not guarantee eligibility to Bandwidth Barn programmes, you must be a member of CITI to participate in any of the following programmes:
- Any current or future Bandwidth Barn enterprise development training programmes, including My Mentor, Velociti and Accel Enterprise Development Programme
- Any current or future CITI/BWB seed funding programme
- Membership of CITI is also a requirement for all new tenants of the Bandwidth Barn from January 2010 onwards.
How to become a member
To become a CITI member, you must complete a membership form. There are two different forms, one for Individuals and one for Organisations. Once we have received your completed membership form, we will send you an invoice for payment. Final membership approval will only take place once payment has been received.
