CITI invited ICT companies who are part of the CITI network through its programmes and membership base to be part of the CITI Partner Pavilion stand at Futurex Cape on the 26-28 September at the CTICC. Features to the stand included a live demo area, meeting space and an opportunity to engage with the innovative companies at CITI's Soapbox Networking session at the stand.

The Cluster Muster is CITI’s key event for ICT stakeholders to come together and be involved in CITI’s strategy for the Western Cape’s ICT sector. The event featured the results of CITI’s ICT Census, a key research report mapping the landscape of the IT sector in the Western Cape. The keynote address was by Dr. Raven Naidoo, CITI’s Chairman and IT Consultant for the City of Cape Town’s IT Directorate. The topic for the discussion is the City of Cape Town’s municipal optic fibre infrastructure and its impact on the ICT industry in the Western Cape.

The SE07 colloquium is intended to identify common challenges for South African companies to grow their hi-tech businesses with the intention of solving these challenges through the dynamic interaction with partners, including universities, government institutions and other companies (while pre-competitive). CITI partnered with Technology Top 100 (TT100) to host a gala dinner at Zevenwacht Wine Estate themed "Winners in IT" on the 26th of October 2006. The event saw CITI celebrating the completion of the pilot Women in IT programme and TT100 announcing the Western Cape regional finalists for the TT100 national awards. Guests at the dinner included CITI's board of directors; CITI members; industry stakeholders and the broader ICT community in the Western Cape.

CITI hosted its Gala Dinner at Zevenwacht Wine Estate and was attended by CITI's members, ICT sector stakeholders and CITI's Board of Directors. The keynote address was by Dr. Phil Molefe, Head of SABC Africa.

CITI held its inaugural Gala Dinner in 2004; which aimed to network key stakeholders in the Western Cape's ICT sector with CITI's Board of Directors and member companies. The dinner took place at the Cape Sun and was attended by 120 people.
