Contac4 was established in 1999. The company comes from humble beginnings as a home-based start-up, and has since grown to be a serious contender in the outsourcing industry.  The company currently has 3 divisions - i.e. Contact Centre Solutions, Facilities Management, and IT. Contact Centre Solutions is the primary business focus. The company's niche is Maintenance Management. The company also offers versatile Business Process Outsource (BPO) services which are broken down into Inbound, Outbound, and Back Office Services.

The Facilities Management division is involved in managing buildings for companies in respect to mechanical, electrical, and other maintenance tasks. Companies worldwide are finding that managing these tasks, themselves, is not beneficial in the long term. They are finding huge cost reductions in outsourcing to Facilities Management companies. They have also gained more focus on their core business objectives, and have increased efficiency and quality by outsourcing to reliable companies.  IT is integral in every sphere of business today, and is a particularly key component in the BPO business streams. After being appointed as an Official IBM Business Partner, Contac4 has positioned itself to offer IBM hardware and software products to the business market. Web services (design, maintenance, hosting) are also part of Contac4's IT division. 

Contac4 has established its base of operations in Cape Town, South Africa and is currently serving clients in all other provinces of South Africa. The company is also establishing its business links in the international community and looks forward to running its first international campaign in December 2006. Contac4 has done extensive work for Engen Petroleum, and is currently serving New Clicks SA, and other companies. After providing excellent service to Engen Petroleum on a regional basis (with an excellence award to vouch for it!), Contac4 was then awarded a national contract by the oil giant.  The company has also recently won a major Facilities Management tender with the City of Cape Town. The awarding of this tender has widely been advertised in the printed and online media recently. Contac4 is tasked with managing all maintenance tasks for all electrical and mechanical systems at the Civic Centre and other buildings within the CBD.
