Joshin Raghubar

Joshin serves as the chairperson of the Bandwidth Barn, and chairperson of the Cape Innovation and Technology Initiative (CiTi). Joshin is the founder and executive chairperson of iKineo Ventures, through which he is the founder of iKineo, a pan-African customer engagement agency; co-founder of Sprout, South Africa’s leading digital media performance firm; and Explore Sideways, a leading immersive traveltech company. He is also co-founder and chairperson of Kili Partners. Joshin also serves as a non-executive director of both the Africa Leadership Initiative (Southern Africa) and the African Leadership Network. He is also a fellow of the Africa Leadership Initiative and the Aspen Institute’s Global Leaders Network, and a member of the Bertelsmann Foundation’s global Transformation Thinkers program. Joshin is a Yale Greenberg World Fellow.

Ian Merrington

Ian is the CEO of the Cape Innovation and Technology Initiative and is passionate about the role of innovation in solving the challenges faced by modern societies.


Ian is responsible for the execution of organisational strategy and operations of CiTi and the Bandwidth Barn.


Prior to his present role, he spent several years in advertising and consulting services, as Group Financial Director of BBDO and later Chief Operating Officer for iKineo, a leading Pan-African customer engagement firm.


Ian also serves as Chairman of Camps Bay Watch on a voluntary basis and as a founding executive of the Camps Bay Community Security Initiative.
